Interested in joining us?

The Chicago Science Writers provides a forum for people in the Chicago area who communicate science to the public. It provides professional development programs and social gatherings. CSW is also a point of contact to national science organizations and local science groups interested in connecting with science writers in the Chicago area.

As of March 18, 2016, membership is based on the calendar year. Memberships are not pro-rated and expire December 31, no matter the date of joining.

Student memberships are also available for those who are currently enrolled in journalism or science programs, or who are serving as reporters or editors at school newspapers. Student membership may be renewed year to year as long as the student remains enrolled in a degree-granting program.

Membership Fee:

• Professionals $10.
• Undergraduate students: No fee.
